Stand: 6. Oktober 2026

Schreiben Sie dazu an iivek@haraia.com.
Last updated: 6 October 2026. The German version above is authoritative.
Kiezsonne needs no account and contains no analytics or tracking tools. It uses your location only when you ask for it, and the location never leaves your device. The map, buildings, trees and the sunlight calculation ship with the app and run on your device. Your device talks to only two services: Open-Meteo for the weather forecast and Google AdMob for the ad banner.
The controller is the provider of harai-werk; name and address are in the
legal notice.

Your settings in the app (such as which map layers are shown) are stored only on the device and never transmitted. Place search looks through a directory inside the app; your search terms do not leave the device.
When you tap "my location", the app asks for the device's location, with your permission through Android, to show it on the map. It is used only on the device, not stored, and the app passes it to no one, including Google AdMob and Open-Meteo. The app never asks for your location unless you tap; you can revoke the permission in Android's settings at any time.
To show whether the sun is actually out, the app loads the hourly sunshine duration from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). The request always names the same fixed point in central Berlin, never your location. Open-Meteo necessarily receives your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a correct forecast (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Open-Meteo's terms and privacy notes.
The app is funded by an ad banner from Google AdMob, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google processes in particular your device's advertising ID, your IP address (and an approximate location derived from it), information about your device, operating system and app, and your interactions with ads.
Consent. Before any ad is requested, the app asks you through Google's consent dialog (User Messaging Platform) whether Google may show personalised ads and process data for them. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). If you decline, the app shows non-personalised ads where you have agreed to them; these also use data for delivery, frequency capping and fraud prevention. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time in the app under Settings → "Werbung & Datenschutz".
Google may transfer data to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android's settings under Google → Ads. More: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
The app is installed and updated through Google Play, for which Google itself is responsible under its own privacy policy.
If you write to us, we use your details only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that.
The app is not directed at children under 16.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to iivek@haraia.com. Since the app itself stores no data about you, most data is held by Google, and requests about it are best sent to Google directly.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the one responsible for us: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, lda.bayern.de.
If the data the app processes changes, we will update this policy. The version published here applies.
